“A Love Story”: Petra Collins directs Selena Gomez in a disturbing horror short
Ever since photographer and filmmaker Petra Collins began collaborating with singer Selena Gomez on the video for Fetish, it seems the two have developed not only a blossoming friendship, but also discovered a common hobby: horror movies. Both usually have movie nights where they enjoy classics, and on more than one occasion, Petra has described that both have wanted to do something together within the genre:
Now, with the premiere of IGTV, Instagram's digital platform that is seeking to compete with YouTube, it seems that the perfect opportunity for collaboration has arrived, as Collins shared a teaser of a short film called A Love Story on his Instagram account. directed by herself and written by Melissa Broder, writer of novels like Pisces and the well-known Twitter account @SoSadToday.
In the preview, we can see the singer taking a bath with a mask of a human face, placing it on her own body and letting it float in the water; eating cake icing with a knife after "shaving" it off her legs; and our favorite scene of hers is without a doubt the one where we see her sucking on an eyeball. Creepy.
