Elsa Pataky shows off the brutal muscle tone she had to achieve to shoot 'Interceptor'
The actress has completed a demanding training that has totally changed her physique
Elsa Pataky has stunned her army of followers on social networks after showing the brutal physical change that has allowed her to shoot 'Interceptor', the new Netflix movie produced by her husband Chris Hemsworth. The need to give life to an army lieutenant who has to save humanity from the launch of 16 nuclear missiles against the United States required a muscular and total heroine look, so the actress has gotten into the role like no one completing an exhaustive training that, in view of his figure, has paid off.
Matthew Reilly, the director of 'Interceptor', would be the first to surrender to Elsa Pataky's sacrifice in order to mold her body to the demands of the character. "She is perfect to be our leading lady, a strong, independent and determined woman who, in the face of overwhelming odds, simply refuses to give up," he would point out.
Elsa Pataky herself would explain in a recent interview to 'Women's Health Australia' how she would raise awareness. "I need to be really strong for this role, a massive change in my body. I knew I had to start working with heavy weights to be more muscular", she would expose.
So to the hours and hours lifting weights in the gym, the practice of all kinds of physical exercise would be added: "Swimming, climbing ropes, doing burpees ...", she would explain Pataky. "And a lot of movement and acceleration. It's a mixture of everything that has really helped me: my body started to change a lot in just four weeks," she explained.
Despite the fact that the result could not have been better, Elsa Pataky does not forget the 'hardships' that have allowed her to achieve it. "I did something I never ever dreamed I'd be able to do physically (or mentally): run 62 kilometers in a 31-hour relay non-stop," she noted. "She was the only woman in a team of six self-confessed exercise extremists. And, to be honest, she loved every second of the ordeal," she added.
"Through two grueling nights and a full day, we pushed through the pain and looped the same course, over and over again, until we finally crossed the finish line exhausted but utterly triumphant at 4am of September 7," he would continue.
An extreme toughness that has been worth it and that has allowed the actress to face life with another perspective: "Exercise is such a powerful tool that it has saved me from some of my lowest moments," she confessed.
