Jeremy Renner was on the set of another film, the New Line comedy “Tag”. During a stunt scene last Friday, the actor "broke his arms", as reported by Variety. To be precise, Renner fractured his right elbow and left wrist, certainly not a pleasant situation but worse could have happened.
The actor was at the Karlovy Vary Film Festival for Taylor Sheridan's "Wind River" press conference, but obviously many reporters asked him questions about the new Avengers movie. Jeremy Renner also talked about that, which is why initially there was confusion about where the accident had occurred. In any case, he took it with irony, arguing that the accident will not affect his work:
I'm kind of a problem solver, you know. There will be consequences, but that won't stop me from doing things I need to do. I'll get well quickly. I am doing everything to get well as soon as possible.
Speaking of "Tag", then, Jeremy Renner specified that the film does not require many stunt scenes as a comedy and, considering some of his other roles, including the one in "Avengers" or "Mission: Impossible", he shot much more risky scenes. . And then, precisely because of the nature of the film, his accident won't slow things down too much, because not many action scenes are required. “Tag” is directed by Jeff Tomsic, also starring Annabelle Wallis, Isla Fisher, Leslie Bibb, Ed Elms and Rashida Jones. The story revolves around a group of former classmates who annually organize a game that involves some of them traveling across the country. The US release is scheduled for June 29, 2018.
