Will Smith starred in the most controversial and surprising moment at the 2022 Oscar Awards ceremony when he approached the stage and slapped presenter Chris Rock after the latter made a joke about female alopecia, a disease suffered by Jada Pinkett Smith, wife of the I am Legend actor.

It all started when the popular presenter and comedian began one of his interventions comparing Jada Pinkett's hair with that of the protagonist of the movie "G.I. Jane”, a 1997 film with Demi Moore, where the actress had to shave for the role.

This angered Will Smith, who left his seat, went up on stage and slapped him, turning around and walking back to his seat while threatening the host and demanding that he never mention his wife again.
