The Roommate - Terror sleeps next to you, the plot and the ending of the film

Minka Kelly and Leighton Meester are "best friends" Sara and Rebecca in the psychological thriller by Danish director Christian E. Christiansen: for the series, "never trust those around you".

The traumas of the past, a friendship that becomes an obsession, a quiet and submissive person who turns out to be a manipulative psychopath. These are the ingredients of The Roommate - Terror Sleeps Beside You, Christian E. Christiansen's psychological thriller from the "never trust those around you" series.

The Roommate is actually a remake (uncredited) of Single White Female, directed by Barbet Schroeder in 1992 starring Bridget Fonda and Jennifer Jason Leigh, at the time "rivals in love". In turn, Schroeder's film, which had a direct to video sequel in 2005 starring Kristen Miller, Allison Lange and Brooke Burns, is inspired by John Lutz's SWF tale Seeks Same.

Produced by Roy Lee and Doug Davison, The Roommate shifts the action from the posh Manhattan loft of Dangerous Listing to a Los Angeles college. This is where Sara and Rebecca meet, the two pawns in a morbid manic thriller that Peter Travers described in Rolling Stone as a film that "looks like it was shot during the CW series' lunch breaks."
