Jada Pinkett Smith publicly admitted that she was unfaithful to Will Smith with the singer and friend of her son August Alsina, with whom she had an affair four years ago.
She made this confession in the last episode of her program Red Table Talk, which is broadcast on Facebook, and in which she had her husband as a guest, with whom she chatted about the pothole they went through in their relationship four years ago and how in the midst of marital crisis, she had a relationship with her son's friend Jaden.
The actress reported that at that time August Alsina, who was 23 years old at the time, was going through a delicate situation due to his state of health. "He was really sick and it all started with him needing help and me wanting to help him with his mental health," she recalled. "And then what did you do, Jada?" The Hollywood actor asked him directly.
Encouraged by her husband, Jada continued with her story. "As time went on, I got into a different kind of entanglement with August," she noted before explaining that by "entanglement" she meant that she had a relationship with the young man.
"It was a relationship where I realized that you can never find happiness outside of yourself," she acknowledged.
The talk between the marriage passed between laughter and even Will Smith took iron away from the matter saying that for him "that was years ago". In addition, both agreed that at that time their relationship was about to break, they even considered it finished.
Jada and Will Smith have decided to speak publicly about the actress's infidelity after August Alsina revealed a few weeks ago that he had had a relationship with Jada and that it happened with Smith's consent.
"I sat down with Will and had a conversation about him transitioning from his marriage to an open relationship... he gave me his blessing," Austust said in an interview with Angela Yee on Breakfast Club.
"I gave myself totally to that relationship for years, and I really feel a lot of love for it. I gave myself completely, to the point that I could die now and be calm because I have felt that true love for someone," said the rapper of 27 years.
The broadcast of this episode of the show starring the admired Hollywood couple set a historical record for Facebook visits, reaching 15 million viewers in 24 hours.
"We have reached that new place of unconditional love," Jada concluded at the end of the program, making it clear that right now her relationship is stronger than ever.
