In February 2016, the then-couple visited a former Thai monk in Bangkok to
cement their union. I discovered the magical meaning of the Sak yant.
The images had never come to light shows
them to you. In February 2016, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt visited former
monk Ajarn Noo Kanpai in Thailand. There, in the city of Bangkok, the
Hollywood goddess had a huge traditional "enchanted" tattoo done on her
entire back, six months before confirming her separation from the
    ever-present heartthrob.
The actress was on a break from her directing work on the
film First They Killed My Father in Cambodia, and she traveled there to get
three intricate "magical" designs, called Sak yant, made. On her part, Brad
had a Buddhist symbol done on his stomach area and Kanpai used the same ink
for both tattoos to "symbolically unite them as husband and wife."
Ironically, six months later the marriage would end with scandal
    included.
Angelina had already submitted to the hands of Ajarn Noo in
2003 and 2004 to immortalize various "enchantments" on her body. The method
used by the former monk is as old as it is painful: he uses steel bars with
    surgical needles.

Sak yant is a practice that consists of tattooing yantras
(a sacred geometric diagram originating in India to which magical powers are
attributed) that benefit the wearer. In Thai it means "talisman tattoo" and
its practice originated in Cambodia about 2000 years ago (although today it
persists almost exclusively in Thailand). The tattoos are made up of abbreviations of religious
incantations, sometimes accompanied by images of snakes, tigers, elephants
and other animals, and were believed in ancient times to provide mystical
powers and immunity against arrows. The most popular of the Sak yant are the so-called "five
lines", which Angelina wears on the left side of her back. Each line
represents a spell, which said 108 times can take the tattoo holder to a
higher level of meditation. The first line prevents unjust punishment,
cleanses unwanted spirits, and protects the home. The second turns bad
horoscopes and bad luck on its head. The third protects from black magic,
the fourth favors good luck and the fifth stimulates charisma and attracts
    the opposite s*x.
