Most of us who watched 2002's The Ring have the creepy, static TV images of the infamous VHS tape permanently burned into our brains. The image of Samara walking out of the TV to steal our souls is still absolutely terrifying more than a decade later, but it turns out that Samara isn't actually that scary in real life. She has grown up and is totally beautiful.
Before her role in The Ring, actress Daveigh Chase had a few minor television parts and starred as the voice of Lilo in Disney's Lilo and Stitch (almost the polar opposite of a cursed child who was pushed into a well). After playing the creepy among the walking dead, Chase ditched the long black locks and starred as Rhonda Volmer on HBO's Big Love.At the time of this writing, Chase is nearing the end of her 20s and has completely nailed the Instagram model photo of her. She is still acting and even had a brush with the tabloids when she was arrested in 2017 after allegedly throwing a dying man out of a hospital. According to TMZ, she was not a suspect and was simply trying to help the man, who died of a possible overdose, but at the time she had an outstanding warrant for her arrest. According to The Blast, the actress was arrested again in 2018 for minor possession of a controlled substance.
