The actress gave her testimony on the stand in the middle of the media trial against her ex-husband, Johnny Depp, where there are mutual accusations of defamation and domestic violence. She reviewed much of her life and remembered how they had met. For much of her statement, she was affected and on the verge of tears.
During the afternoon of this Wednesday, the actress Amber
Heard began her testimony on the stand in the middle of the media trial
against her ex-husband, Johnny Depp, where there are mutual accusations of
defamation and domestic violence.
Thus, the interpreter reviewed her childhood, her youth,
her career and reached the moment in which she began the romance with Depp,
affirming that it happened in the filming of Diary of a seducer, a tape that
they starred in 2011.
In that film, Depp played Paul Kemp, and, according to the
actress, the protagonist of the tape approached her to congratulate her on
getting the role of Chenault. Thus, the interpreter described the
flirtations and approaches they shared during the filming of the tape.
According to the actress, the Pirates of the Caribbean man
constantly made comments about how he dressed and the roles he got for his
work. It was then that Heard was asked if she remembered the first time Depp
hit her. According to the reports, it has been one of the most complex
moments of the judicial process.
Then, the actress recalled a night they shared in
an armchair. “We were sitting next to each other, we were having a
conversation. There was no fight or argument,” she recalled.
According to the interpreter, Depp was drinking and, he says,
he was also "using cocaine." “We drank, talked, listened to music and smoked
cigarettes. We were sitting on the couch and I asked him about his tattoo on
his shoulder,” Heard recalled.
Said tattoo, according to Heard, “looked like black marks. She
didn't know what she was saying. It was a very blurry tattoo that you
couldn't read."
That mark refers to Depp's tattoo that at the time said
"Winona forever", in reference to his former partner, Winona Ryder. Depp
erased part of the tattoo and left the phrase "Wino Forever" written, which
could be translated as "came forever".
In Heard's memory, the actress asked her partner what that
tattoo said, to which Depp mentioned "Wino."
“I thought he was joking because he didn't seem to say
that and I laughed. I only laughed because I thought he was joking and he
slapped me across the face,” Heard said. She was on the verge of tears and
very affected by the story.
After the blow, the actress assured that she laughed out loud
again. "I didn't know what else to do, I assumed that this was all a joke,"
she said.
"But then he starts asking me 'do you think you're funny? ',
and she slapped me again. That's when I realized that it was not a joke,
"she assured.
“I have never been beaten like this. I am an adult. I was
sitting with the man I love and he slapped me for no reason,” she added, her
voice cracking from tears. Then, she claimed that the actor got down on his
knees and took her hands to beg for forgiveness.
