Kim Kardashian speaks for the first time about the controversy of her Marilyn Monroe dress.
Believe it or not from Ripley! The museum, which
bought the dress at auction for nearly $5 million and continues to display
the piece, released a statement Thursday denying the dress was damaged
during Kardashian's Met Gala outing, and the Skims founder appeared on the
show. "Today" on Tuesday to address the problem herself.
She
and Ripley went all out for the red carpet moment, with the star
transforming into a replica look at the top of the museum steps before
entering the party.
“It was quite a process,” she said. "I showed up on the red carpet in a robe and slippers, and I put the dress on at the bottom of the carpet, I went upstairs... I probably had it on for 3 minutes, 4 minutes."
The Skkn founder also spoke about her controversial weight loss for the event, saying, “I saw it as a role. And I really wanted to wear this dress. It was very important to me."
Kardashian added: “She actually taught me a lot about my lifestyle and my health. And since then, after, I continued to eat very healthy. I have lost 21 pounds now. I'm not trying to lose any more weight, but I have more energy than ever. I cut so much sugar. I was eating a lot of junk food… I just completely changed my lifestyle.”
