When we first checked in on Drake and Rihanna's Year of Grinding, the two megastars created some serious friction during the music video for Rihanna's hit single "Work." Soon after the release of the video, Drake and Rihanna were back at it live on stage at the Brit Awards, grinding so sensually you imagine the Queen herself must have literally clutched her pearls. And now, a couple weeks later, Drake and Rihanna are still grinding.
Of course, it hasn't been one long, continuous grind. But it has been a series of public grinding events that puts all your drunken, random grinding with strangers to shame. Drake and Rihanna's latest display occurred in Miami, as Rihanna brought Drizzy out as a surprise guest during a show on her ANTI world tour. And for once, Drake wasn't wearing sweatpants, though I imagine the humidity had something to do with that.
I mean, the only reason two people would keep grinding seemingly every time they see each other is because they both have a huge crush on the other person and are afraid to admit it. Just watch that second video again. Drake is taking the grinding so seriously because he may legitimately be in love with Rihanna. Rihanna is laughing and smiling because it's probably the only thing she can do to keep herself from crying.When will these two finally declare their love for each other? It may be a while. But I hope they continue to enjoy rubbing up on each other until then.
