The Tragedies in the life of Julia Roberts that made her a strong woman
Julia Roberts is one of the most famous and successful actresses on the show, and although she has a beautiful family with her husband, Daniel Moder, her life has not been easy.
At 53 years old, the actress has an enviable life, but to
get to where she is she had to overcome difficult tests.
Her life was marked by traumas such as the suicide of her
sister, or her frustrations when she wanted to be a model, which made her
the strong woman she is today.
When she was young, Julia wanted to be a model, but no
one noticed her. However, she kept trying her luck and moved to New York
with her sister Lisa.
But, it was her brother Eric, who was
already working as an actor, who helped her and got her a role in Blood Red,
where they worked together.
Unfortunately it was not successful, and no one was
betting on her, but that never made her give up and she kept going.
It
was with Mystic Pizza and Satisfaction, and appearances in the series
Corruption in Miami, where they began to notice her.
In 1998 she
starred in Steel Magnolias, and she won her first Golden Globe, breaking
into the world of cinema.
She discovered her boyfriend's infidelity before they got married
In 1993, Julia planned to marry Kiefer Sutherland, with whom
she acted in Deadline, and Satisfaction, but three days before the wedding,
she found out that she had been unfaithful with a stripper.
When
she found out, she called off the wedding, and it is said that she eloped
with fellow actor Jason Patric, who was Kiefer's friend, and whom she had
met shortly before at the bachelor party.
The Suicide of her sister
Nancy Motes, the actress's sister committed suicide in 2014,
and she left a letter where she blamed her mother and her brothers,
including her celebrity.
"My mother and my so-called brothers
deserve nothing from me, except the certainty that they were the ones who
brought about the deepest depression I have ever faced in my life," the
letter read, as revealed by the Daily Mail at the time.
Her relationship was never good, and before taking her own
life, she left some tweets in which she attacked the protagonist of Pretty
Woman.
However, the actress declared that the death of her sister
was "devastating" for her, and she was dismayed, she even did not attend the
traditional meal organized by the Hollywood Academy for the Oscar
nominees.
Her Mother's Death from Cancer
A year after her sister's tragic death, Julia lost her mother,
Betty Lou Motes, who died of lung cancer.
This disease was
diagnosed in 2013, and from then until 2015 the actress's mother struggled,
but unfortunately she lost the battle, leaving a great void in the
actress.
These tests were not easy for the actress, but she
overcame them and today she is happy with her family, and she continues to
be successful in her professional life.
