Oscar winning American actress Halle Berry has confessed that she didn’t
have shower for 8 weeks for her role in “Jungle Fever”
The
role of the crack-cocaine addict in the drama released in 1991 became the
debut acting experience for Halle.
Today the internationally recognized 47-year-old star star reveals how she
was preparing for the role.
According to her words, she didn’t
want to experiment with drug preparation or taking in order to understand
her character, instead she decided to remain unwashed throughout
production.
When asked about the Jungle Fever, Berry said:
“I didn’t smoke crack. I drew the line there but it was 23 years ago
so I was brand spanking new and at that time all I could really do was kind
of try to be it, to be it so I didn’t shower for the whole entire time that
we shot that movie, so that was probably about eight weeks. It was gnarly,
it was gnarly. Certain body parts got washed, let’s just say that.”
Meanwhile the Hollywood movie directed by Spike Lee gained
mostly positive reviews from critics and became a great start for Halle
Berry’s career.
