The actress stated that she already knew that she was going to earn less
money than her male classmates and that she received terrible treatment from
the director of the film.
Last year, hackers did their thing by publishing thousands of emails from the Sony company revealing that actress Jennifer Lawrence had earned less than her male companions in the movie American Hustle. Now Amy Adams steeled herself to confess that she knew she was going to earn less money than her peers.
In the new issue of GB magazine, the actress said: “I didn't talk about it and maybe I never will talk about it because I don't agree, not with Jennifer, but with people who think how women should negotiate their jobs. The truth is that we hired people to negotiate on our behalf and I knew they were paying me less, but I agreed to do it. Then you have to decide if it's worth it or not. But it doesn't mean I liked it."
Adams also confessed that it was a nightmare for her to work on that film because of the terrible treatment she received from the director. "I was devastated on set. I mean not every day, but most days. It doesn't affect Jennifer at all. It's like Teflon, and I'm not like that. But I don't like seeing other people treated badly either. It's not right. Life is more important to me than movies. The experience taught me to separate work and home. Because I can't bring that home with my daughter," Adams confessed to GB.
