Marlon Brando's son Miko is responding to a report that his famous father cut down Michael Jackson. cry during a conversation about the pop star's s*xuality.
“I was friends with Michael Jackson for over 27 years and my
father adored him. I do not appreciate that my father's words have been
twisted to imply that Michael hurt someone," he wrote in a letter to the LA
Times that was seen by Page Six.
The newspaper revealed this week
that Brandon Ogborn's podcast, "Phone Stories: The Michael Jackson Trials,"
claimed to have uncovered a Brando affidavit to prosecutors when Jackson was
under investigation in 1994.
In an episode broadcast Sunday, Ogborn reads a transcript in
which "The Godfather" caption details a conversation he once had with
Jackson at the singer's Neverland Ranch.
The Times reported that
Ogborn verified his authenticity with Lauren Weis, who investigated Jackson
as a Los Angeles prosecutor and is now a judge.
Ogborn spoke to the newspaper, describing the document as
"pretty meandering, pretty loose. [Brando] probably would have 'cancelled'
it if he was around right now."
Ogborn claims that Brando asked
Jackson, "'Well, who are your friends?' He said, 'I don't know anybody my
age. I don't like anyone my age. I said, "Why not?"
"He said, 'I don't know, I don't know. He was crying enough. .
. I tried to calm him down. I tried to help him as much as I could."
