Actress Alice Eve played Carol Marcus in the movie Star Trek: Into Darkness
and had a scene that became quite controversial.
There is a time
when Star Trek: Into Darkness (2013) where the character Carol marcus (Alice
Eve) and Kirk (Chris Pine) are talking about the torpedoes and they enter a
small ship and she changes her clothes asking him to Kirk turn around. But
he decides to look and we can see the actress in her underwear kindly asking
him not to look. This scene is considered very superfluous and caused great
controversy at the time.
The producer Damon Lindelof later apologized, while J.J. Abrams
He went on to say that he didn’t think it would be so controversial. But it
seems that Alice Eve does not understand the complaints.
“It was
something that I voluntarily worked with a coach to get in shape, I was very
prepared and really enjoyed filming, executing and promoting the movie. The
feeling that I shouldn’t have done it, or that it was exploitation, confused
me. ‘
“There are many things in the world that are confusing.”
Actress Alice Eve continued. ‘I attribute it to one of those anomalies. I’m
proud of that scene and all the work I did.
The character completely disappeared from the saga.
Carol marcus from Alice Eve became a very important supporting character in Star Trek: Into Darkness but he did not repeat in the next installment titled Star Trek: Beyond (2016). Since they did not want the controversy to spread. Now that there are plans for a fourth film it may be a new opportunity to see Alice Eve.
Meanwhile, the actress has continued with her film career and
we can see her in the series The Power which is about a group of teenage
girls who mysteriously develop a special power that allows them to
electrocute people at will. Furthermore, currently Alice Eve he’s shooting a
movie about the famous ocean liner The Queen Mary, which is surrounded by
