The 30-year-old has opened up about the regular s-xual harassment she suffered
by a make-up artist.
Days after opening up to The Hollywood
Reporter about the 'devastating' moment she learned of Harvey Weinstein's
alleged s-xual misconduct over the years, actress Blake Lively has revealed
she too has been a victim of s-xual harassment.
In a recent interview with the Los Angeles Times, the 30-year-old
spoke out about the regular harassment she faced by a makeup artist with whom
she once worked.
'He was saying things inappropriately, insisting
on putting my lipstick on with his finger,' the former Gossip Girl star told
the publication.
'I was sleeping one night on location and I woke up and he was
filming me. I was clothed, but it was a very voyeuristic, terrifying thing to
do.'
Despite complaining about the make-up artists's behavior to
the project's producers for several months, the mother-of-two revealed no
action was taken.
When they eventually called her in for a meeting
telling her 'we need to talk', she presumed the producers had finally decided
to address her complaint from her.
Instead, they had an issue
with her dog from her. 'Your dog left a poop behind the toilet in your
dressing room and our janitor had to pick it up,' they told her. 'And this is
very serious and we can't have this happen again.'
Lively alleges that only when she consulted a lawyer did the
producers decide to fire the makeup artist. However, their efforts were
reportedly half-hearted.
'Our unit production manager wrote him
[the make-up artist] a letter of recommendation because nobody wanted there to
be bad blood,' she said.
Lively's news comes a days after actresses
such as Kate Beckinsale, Cara Delevingne, Angelina Jolie and Gwyneth Paltrow
spoke out about the harassment they've endured by Weinstein.
