Johansson confessed a secret about herself that she hopes her kids Rose
Dauriac, seven, and seven-month -old Cosmo Jost never find out.
During
Wednesday's episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, the 37-year-old Black Widow
actress admitted she's embarrassed to have begun smoking as a teen.
'My daughter may have asked me this before,' the Lucy star
admitted. 'I used to smoke when I was younger and I'm so ashamed. I just
don't want her to ever think that I ever thought it was cool 'cause she can
never, ever, ever smoke.'
The five-time Golden Globe nominee then joked that when parents
'forbid' their children 'from doing things' they don't do them.
While
answering more of Barrymore's questions as they sat down for The Final 5
segment, Johansson spoke about her biggest irrational de ella and when she
feels the most competitive.
In addition to admitting to her previous fear of never
working again after wrapping a project, the Marriage Story gave a rare
glimpse of her home life with Colin Jost.
The mom-of-two revealed
she gets competitive when it comes to playing Backgammon with the SNL star,
39, who says 'annoyingly wins' every time.
'The last minute he'll
roll a bunch of doubles,' she mused, before saying he also plays on his
phone from him, where he learns new 'tools' to get even better.
During the episode, Johansson admitted that despite her
attraction to Jost, they probably would not have dated in high school after
seeing his hilarious yearbook photo of him.
Upon showing her a
photo of her spouse de ella as a teen with a 'mushroom' haircut, Barrymore
asked: 'OK, so would high school ScarJo be into high school Colin?'
'Um,
I don't think so, no,' Scarlett was quick to answer. 'Firstly, my brother
had that same haircut… I just can't. There's no way I mean who decided on
that cut as a stylish thing, like what hairdresser was like I'll try
this.'
Colin and Scarlett first met in 2006 when she starred on SNL, but truly hit it off years later when she came back to host in 2017.
'I mean he’s a very cute guy, but the other times I was there I was like in another relationship… this time the timing was right,' she said. 'I think he looked differently to me because I was available, the timing just has to be right.'
She had previously been married to Ryan Reynolds from 2008 until their divorce in 2011, and Romain Dauriac from 2014-2017.
Johansson and Dauriac share co-parenting responsibilities of
their daughter Rose.
'I think that I definitely have been in
relationships where the timing is not right … and sometimes it's a good
person, but the timing off and it's important to be open to that too,' she
added.
