'Cry-Baby' synopsis
According to the official synopsis on IMDB, the comedy musical
directed by John Waters is set in the 1950s in the United States. The 'Rock
& Roll Rebel', known as Wade Walker 'Cry-Baby', wins the love of
Allison, a good girl, whose boyfriend seeks revenge.
According to the jargon of the director, Depp is a 'Greaser' or
'Drape', that is, a rebellious boy who reminds the characters of the
seventies movie 'Grease' or Elvis Presley. In the film, the young actor
shares credits with rock star Iggy Pop.
