According to an inmate identified as Katie A., the 24-year-old actress was given special treatment during her recent 13-day stay at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, Calif.
“The entire jail was put on lockdown any time Lindsay left her cell.
It felt like we were constantly on lockdown,” Katie told gossips life. “She
spent a lot of time in her cell, but she also went to the medical clinic
several times a day.”
The inmate, who was also reportedly serving time behind bars
for violating her probation for missing alcohol education classes,
additionally claimed that Lohan received a new jail uniform everyday, while
fellow inmates reportedly got a clean uniform once a week.
The
special privileges didn’t stop there, according to Katie. Lohan’s reading
material was also a high priority for the jail staff.
“One employee of the jail had to spend his day searching the
entire place for any books by Ernest Hemmingway for Lindsay,” she also
claimed. “Those are the only books she would read.”
As previously
reported on Access Hollywood.com, in July, the actress’ legal counsel, Shawn
Chapman Holley, told Access that Lohan was “not getting special treatment”
and the actress had not “asked for special treatment.”
On July
22, Steve Whitmore told Access of the special treatment claims, “She’s being
treated like any other inmate in her classification. There’s no special
treatment at all.”
In more Lohan news, the actress has been cropping up in a slew
of videos online, shot before her stint in jail and prior to her current
stay in rehab. In the videos, Lohan is seen promoting her upcoming
projects.
She appears in a new clip from “Underground Comedy
2010,” where she is dressed as Marilyn Monroe from “The Seven Year Itch.” In
the clip posted on Radar Online, Lohan is seen gunning down photographers
and telling a co-star, “Marilyn never had to wear a SCRAM bracelet,” when
she’s told she looks like the screen legend.
Lohan also appears in promo clip for “Inferno: A Linda Lovelace
Story,” where she speaks candidly about the planned upcoming movie about the
late porn star-turned activist’s life.
“It just tells a story
about someone that really got caught up in this world that she never asked
to be involved in,” Lohan said in the clip posted on X17 Online. “She was
this innocent girl that kind of, in a way, got trafficked into this
situation.”
