Jason Momoa poked fun at his image of a tall, sculpted film star with
flowing locks in a Super Bowl ad for Rocket Mortgage that aired on
Sunday.
In the clip, the Aquaman leading man is seen heading back
to his luxurious mansion and decompressing after a long day, as he explains
the virtues of home.
'What does home mean to me?' the Honolulu,
Hawaii native, 40, said in the clip. 'It’s my sanctuary. It’s the one place
I can let my guard down.
'It’s where I can just kick back and be totally comfortable in
my own skin.'
At that point, the 6ft4 screen star removed a pair
of shoes that were adding to his height.
Momoa removed a dark
T-shirt to reveal a slim frame - and not the chiseled look fans of the
Aquaman actor have been accustomed to seeing.
'Rocket Mortgage
understands that home is where I can be myself,' said the actor, who then
pulled on his mane to reveal he was wearing a hairpiece. 'And that feels
pretty darn good.'
The actor, who first played Aquaman in 2016's
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and again in 2017's Justice League, is
later seen attempting to lift a weight bar with help from his wife Lisa
Bonet, who is spotting him.
'Take it, take it, take it,' he pleads to her as he hoists up a
weight bar.
Momoa was one of many famous faces to be showcased in
an ad for the game, which commands the year's highest commercial prices.
Other stars seen in spots included Ellen DeGeneres, Portia de Rossi, Oprah,
Dwayne Johnson, Chrissy Teigen, John Legend, Bryan Cranston, Missy Elliott
and Chris Evans.
