“Help! I can’t move my face!” This is just one of the headlines that were used to describe Nicole Kidman’s frozen face when she used Botox before the 2013 Cannes Film Festival. So how did the Nicole Kidman plastic surgery go so wrong? First, it is quite obvious that she is afraid to age. If you look at photos from the 80’s through to now, you will see that she matured beautifully and had started to age quite gracefully. This must not have gone down very well with her – she really did want to get rid of the fine lines and crow’s feet that were starting to appear. Is this what made her overzealous with the Botox?
In the past, Nicole admitted to dabbling a little in Botox, saying
that the rest of her was quite natural. It must have been more than a small
dabble though; her face looks swollen and puffy and her skin is stretched
out way too tight. Was this required of her for her 2014 role in the movie
Grace of Monaco? We may never know.
So how much Botox is too much Botox? Here is what one cosmetic
surgery expert, Dr. Lee Klausner, had to say. “Facial filler can be used to
add volume and lift to the cheeks and add volume to the temples but, if too
much is placed, it can also make the eyes appear smaller, less open and less
attractive. Some facial fillers absorb more water than others and can
contribute to a puffier unnatural appearance to the face.”
Many others agree that the use of too much filler has led to
her puffy face, her smaller looking eyes and fuller lips. The doctor who did
it wasn’t very thorough either – he left out important parts like under the
eyelid which makes her look older. Can Botox be reversed? Yes, she only
needs to wait for it to wear off.
