Angelina Jolie discusses everything from her hair to bullying and the
Maleficent sequel
Angelina Jolie gets serious about how her
life has changed in PEOPLE’s new cover story — but the director of the new
Netflix film First They Killed My Father also took time out to answer
questions from some of her youngest (and cutest) fans.
During PEOPLE’s Kid Interview, Jolie discussed everything from
style to how to deal with bullies.
When 6-year-old Amira asked
the activist and director what her shortest haircut was, Jolie recalled when
she had no hair at all.
“I actually shaved my head with a razor
completely. It was for a film. I was sick in a film so I had to look like I
was losing hair so I shaved it off with a razor,” answered Jolie (she was
nominated for an Emmy for her role in the 1998 TV movie Gia). “I kind of
loved it. It was kind of freeing.”

her life now, check out this week’s issue of PEOPLE, on stands Friday.
The
actress, 42, answered questions alongside First They Killed My Father author
Loung Ung and producer Rithy Panh and discussed more serious topics like
when 8-year-old Olive asked her how to deal with bullies. The mom of six
admitted this can be a very hard situation but said her best advice would be
to “know yourself.”
“You know you are not what the bully says you are—so why is
this person saying it? What is wrong with them? Don’t let them think there
is anything wrong with you. Know yourself and look at the people that love
you, like your family,” says Jolie.

And of course the young fans wanted to know all about the
latest news that Jolie is stepping back in front of the camera for an
upcoming sequel to the Disney’s Maleficent.
When asked by Imogen,
9, if there would be a Maleficent 2, Jolie happily replied that she is
indeed returning to the role.
“I’m so happy and I’m so excited,”
said Jolie. “In truth, I really like wearing my horns and I miss them so I
want to go back.”
