Wonder Woman ruled the box office and the hearts of the audiences alike. What’s even better to know that the star of the film Gal Gadot is an amazing person with some rather wonderful and exciting stories of her. She is a very determined actor and gave her 100% for the role we now love and cherish. We are really excited for Wonder Woman in the upcoming Justice League. One of the main factors of her being a really great Wonder Woman is her fitness and hard work that she had put into this iconic character. Here is how she got totally ripped for the Wonder Woman role.
She was athletic from the beginning
She has served in the Israeli Army for two years. As it is
required of all Israeli citizens to do. There Gadot served as a combat
trainer, no wonder she has got the moves and the skill set of a warrior. She
also participated in the 2004 Miss Israel pageant which she then won, and
that brought her into the modeling industry. Thank God for that! So getting
into the Wonder Woman work out was not something new for her. Still,
according to her, the Wonder Woman workout regimen was “a lot more
intensive” than her military training, but we’re sure that serving in the
Israeli Defense Forces instilled in her the ability to crush any Hollywood
workout. Along with that, Gadot is famous for doing her own stunts as she
thinks they make her more connected to the character as well as do justice
to the role. We have seen her doing some really risky stunts in the Fast and
Furious series and now in the DCEU as well. This allowed her to stay fit for
the role as well.
She drank a Gallon of water every day!
A person has to stay hydrated for him/her to get into the peak
physical shape that they desire. Research has proven time and again that
drinking plenty of water helps to improve the quality of work out that one
endures. It refreshes one’s mind and body by reducing fatigue and recovery
time, and increases the overall level of personal satisfaction after a tough
session in the gym. Even though Gal is Wonder Woman, but she very well knew
that hydration is the key to success. “I drink tons of water” she said, as
drinking a gallon of water each day is the best way to survive the
tough-as-nails routine. “Not only did I feel fuller, which made me snack
less, but I felt so hydrated, my endurance improved too.” said Gal. as a
bonus, it makes your skin more nourished as well. Well, lesson learned! To
be as fit as Wonder Woman, you need to drink water like Aquaman.
She respects the meals she takes.
Believe it or not, Gal was not imposed to any strict diet for
her work out. In fact she didn’t have any diet related restrictions at all.
She told in an interview that she more or less eats whatever she wants,
whenever she wants. She explained that “I look at food as fuel and I want to
give the best to my body. It’s all a matter of measurements and quantity of
the food, just enjoy your food and don’t eat while you drive and don’t eat
when you talk on the phone. Just give the food the respect and give yourself
the respect to enjoy it.” Even though she is conscious about what she eats,
she isn’t afraid to enjoy a nice burger or have some dessert. So, the lesson
we take in is that a cheat meal is very essential for a healthy body and
mental condition.
Planks and Push-ups helped her get biceps
In order to get Gadot’s epic Wonder Woman biceps, no special
equipment is necessary. All that is required is 30 seconds of push-ups
followed by 30 seconds of plank hold, the take a minute break and repeat
this cycle 4 times. This will help strengthen and tone your arms and provide
way to tighten your abdominal muscles. This quick and easy workout is the
perfect solution for those who can’t find the time to go to the gym or are
not able to go for some other reason.
She was a beast at the gym and took no days off!
Of course, quick and simple home workouts aren’t enough to turn
you into Wonder Woman. If you really want to get into Gal Gadot shape,
you’ll need to go full beast mode in the gym and shred your whole body with
a lot of determinations. Gadot’s work out was pretty hard and she took no
days off! She called her regimen “intense and … very tiring,” and said “It
was full-blown every day, six or seven hours a day for six months.” But, as
we’ve seen, that true hard work does pay off! So hats off Gal.
