We’re still reeling from the fashion at the 29th Annual Screen Actors
Guild Awards, which were held on February 26th at the Fairmont Century Plaza
in Century City, California. And Emily Blunt – who wore a stunning red Oscar
de la Renta column gown with chic sheer panelling and geranium
embellishments – was among the favorites on the red carpet for obvious
reasons. Just look at her!
However, on closer inspection, some of the 40-year-old The
English actress’s fans have deemed something different about her appearance
on the red carpet; and close-ups of her face from the SAG Awards has made
them almost adamant that she may have had plastic surgery due to how plump
her cheeks looked. Not to mention the totally sleek and airbrushed
complexion with not one wrinkle in sight! And once you see some of the
changes they are referring to on social media, you can’t *unsee* them!
Fans Think Emily Blunt Had Plastic Surgery Before The SAG Awards
Could the Devil Wears Prada star, who entered a brand new
decade last month, have had something done to her face to combat aging?
“What did she do to her face and why?” one fan asked on a February 27th post
of Emily and husband John Krasinski on The Zoe Report‘s account. “I thought
the same thing,” agreed another fan, adding, “She overfilled her cheeks.”
“That cannot be her!” exclaimed another shocked fan, while another wrote,
“What did she do… she was so beautiful,” followed by a teary-eyed
emoji.
“Oh no did she get her buccal fat pad excised too?!” asked
another disappointed fan, in reference to the buccal fat removal trend
seemingly loved by everyone from Anya Taylor Joy to Lea Michele among so, so
many others. “I hope it’s just makeup,” the fan added. “Not one wrinkle on
her face,” commented another fan, followed by the crying laughing
emoji.
What Has Emily Blunt Said About Plastic Surgery?
Back in 2019, while she was still in her thirties, the Mary
Poppins Returns star actually spoke about the aging process in an interview
with Woman & Home, specifically her thoughts on wrinkles. "I love
imperfection – I appreciate that every line on someone’s face bears a story,
and is the result of experience," she said at the time, which is very
interesting considering how smooth and wrinkle-free she was on the SAG
Awards red carpet last month.
"In Hollywood, people are suffocated by plastic surgery, but
striving for an impassive perfection isn’t something I ever found beautiful
or have tried to achieve myself," she continued. "I believe in taking care
of your skin and your general health, but women who spend too much time
trying to look perfect lose some of the magic about them." Again, very
interesting comments considering how 'perfect' she looked on the red carpet!
Could she, like so many other celebs, have changed her mind about plastic
surgery or little tweakments here and there as she got older? Perhaps!
