Amidst her ongoing legal dispute with Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie has made a noteworthy decision. She has played a pivotal role in the passing of the Domestic Violence Law, driven by her own alleged experiences of abuse.
Following the alleged mistreatment by her former husband, Brad Pitt, the renowned Hollywood icon has spearheaded the introduction of the Domestic Violence Law in California.
According to OK! Magazine, Angelina Jolie has contributed to the enactment of Senate Bill 290, popularly known as the "Domestic Violence Documentation: Victim Access."
Expressing her motivation behind supporting this legislation, Jolie stated, "I found it imperative to endorse this bill due to the urgent need for abuse survivors to promptly access evidence of their ordeal."
She further added, "Corroborative evidence not only validates the experiences of abuse but also facilitates access to trauma care and enhances the likelihood of legal protection."
Jolie continued by emphasizing the significance of abuse survivors having records of their ordeals to advocate for their well-being, trauma care, and safety within the legal realm, particularly in family court systems.
The star of "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider" accused Pitt of domestic violence, alleging that he subjected her and their six children to physical and verbal abuse during a private jet flight in 2016.
As stated in her court complaint, Jolie asserted, "He choked one of the children and struck another in the face. He also grabbed me by the head and shook me." These disturbing incidents prompted her to take legal action.
Court documents reveal further distressing details shared by Jolie, including instances where Pitt poured beer on her and the children. Additionally, he poured beer and red wine on them during separate incidents.
Following Jolie's accusations, the FBI conducted an investigation. However, Brad Pitt was subsequently cleared of any wrongdoing.
