The highly anticipated film 'Barbie' is scheduled to premiere on July 21st, and it has already caused a frenzy among moviegoers. Securing tickets for Barbie has become a challenging task, as theaters are filling up rapidly with eager fans.
According to Axios, numerous restaurants, bars, and Barbie-themed parties have
organized exclusive screenings that are drawing huge crowds. The film has been
hailed as the hottest movie of the summer, with impressive pre-sale numbers at
theaters across San Antonio.
"The Barbie buzz is reaching its peak," remarked Andrew Brooks, Santikos'
executive director of sales and marketing, in an interview with the
publication. "It appeals to a wide range of moviegoers. We haven't seen this
level of excitement since a major 'Star Wars' release, where people dress up
and actively participate."
The marketing campaign for the Greta Gerwig-helmed movie has successfully
immersed fans in a Barbie world, capturing their imagination.
"Many people are already declaring this as the cultural event of the summer, if not the entire year," said Lisa McKnight, Mattel's global head of Barbie and dolls portfolio. "Barbie has never been more relevant," she added, emphasizing the significance of the iconic doll in contemporary society.
