have officially confirmed their departure from Clarence House, their beloved
home for the past two decades, in favor of the prestigious Buckingham Palace.
However, this momentous move is not imminent; the royal couple will relocate
to the grand palace in 2027, once the extensive renovation and completion of
their private apartments in the Palace's North Wing are finalized, as stated
in the palace's annual Sovereign Grant report.
The ambitious ten-year renovation project, totaling £369 million, was
initiated during the reign of Queen Elizabeth II and is now under the watchful
eye of her son, King Charles. With a keen focus on environmental
sustainability, the monarch ensures that the renovations are not only geared
towards preserving the palace's rich heritage but also futureproofing it. In
his commitment to reducing costs and emissions, the King has even taken the
initiative to lower the heating in his current residence.
The forthcoming relocation to the iconic 775-room Buckingham Palace holds both

grandmother, the Queen Mother, for an impressive 50 years until her passing in
2002.
While it remains unclear whether King Charles will retain Clarence House as a

retreat, Highgrove House, where he frequently spends weekends, taking
particular delight in the residence's enchanting garden.
In 2019, the monarch celebrated 25 years since opening the royal gardens to

once a neglected kitchen garden and modest pastureland has undergone a
remarkable transformation under King Charles' attentive care. Highgrove House
