For those who may not be familiar, the explosive court case between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard was streamed online nearly a year ago.
During the trial, a sum of $5 million in punitive damages was discussed, but the judge eventually capped it at $350,000.
As a result, Heard received nearly $2 million, which was related to the defamation allegations made by Depp's attorney, Adam Waldman.
Netflix has set the release date for the 'Depp V Heard' documentary series on August 16, 2023.
However, it's worth noting that this release date may not apply to the UK audience.
The director and executive producer behind the new documentary is Emma Cooper, who is well known for her past works such as 'The Mystery of Marilyn Monroe: The Unheard Tapes', 'The Disappearance of Madeleine McCann', and 'Bikram: Yogi, Guru, Predator'.
