Spotify recently terminated its $20 million partnership with the Sussexes, making it official through a joint statement.
However, it wouldn't be fair to solely attribute the fallout of their Spotify deal to Meghan Markle.
Royal correspondent Ross King has offered his perspective on the matter, suggesting that the issues might not be one-sided and that both parties could be at fault.
"The unraveling of the Spotify deal has led many of us to wonder: 'Is this a sign of Meghan losing her momentum?'" he pondered. "If it had been a successful venture for both parties, it wouldn't have come to an end. There seems to have been some disagreement, perhaps some level of disappointment, on both sides."
The statement also affirmed that despite the deal's dissolution, Meghan is actively working on creating more content for the dedicated Archetypes audience, albeit on a different platform.
Closer Magazine disclosed insights from an anonymous insider, stating that Meghan was "deeply upset about the Spotify rejection and the ensuing fallout. It has left her feeling completely unmoored."
The source added, "Being subjected to such harsh and public criticism by one of their executives, and being labeled as 'grifters,' has been an utterly humiliating and heart-wrenching experience – it's served as a stark reminder that change is necessary to salvage their reputation and popularity."
