Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly taking bold action following
an unexpected absence of an Emmy nomination for their six-part series, "Harry
and Meghan." Sources indicate that the Sussexes are resolute in their pursuit of
answers, seeking to unveil the individuals responsible for orchestrating a
campaign that seemingly hindered their nomination.
Despite their series shattering Netflix's record for the most-watched
documentary debut, garnering over 81.6 million hours of viewership within its
initial four days in December 2022, it failed to secure an Emmy recognition.
Its viewership during its first week even outpaced that of "The Crown."
Evidently, the couple is grappling with deep disappointment over the Emmy
oversight, given their anticipation for a nomination in the category of
outstanding documentary or non-fiction series. Insights from a Heat magazine
insider unveiled that Harry and Meghan interpret this omission as a
substantial setback, suspecting a coordinated campaign of antipathy directed
towards them from both sides of the Atlantic. They harbor a fervent desire to
unearth the orchestrators of this situation and ascertain the steps necessary
to turn the tide in their favor.
The "Harry and Meghan" series delved into their love narrative and their
encounters within the royal family, offering a window into the internal
mechanisms of the institution. Nonetheless, it drew critique for Harry's
public critiques of his estranged family, particularly with the publication of
his memoir, "Spare," in January of this year.
Undeterred by the absence of an Emmy nomination, the couple's forthcoming documentary project with Netflix, titled "Heart of Invictus," is anticipated to premiere later this summer.
