King Charles, despite the strained relationship with his younger son
Prince Harry, is making efforts to extend an olive branch and resolve the royal
rift. Reports emerged last month suggesting that the father-son duo was
considering "peace talks," with the monarch adjusting his schedule to make time
to meet with his son in London.
Now, a royal insider has revealed that King Charles has issued an ultimatum to
Prince Harry, emphasizing the need to end public disputes. The source,
speaking to Bella Magazine, explained that the King "draws the line at public
slanging matches."
Since stepping away from the Royal Family in 2020 alongside his wife Meghan
Markle, the Sussexes have publicly criticized the Royals, alleging
discrimination. The relationship worsened when Prince Harry released his
memoir, "Spare," in which he portrayed his father and brother, William, in a
negative light.
While the King continues to love his son deeply, he has been deeply hurt by
Prince Harry's actions. He remains willing to support his son but insists on
avoiding public disputes.
Regarding the potential peace talks, the insider added, "If the talks take place, the King will make it very clear that there will be absolutely no private family business discussed in public moving forward. Staff are trying to fine-tune the details."
Furthermore, the source revealed that the Palace is working on a "special program honoring the new King," featuring key members of the royal family expressing their love and affection for him. However, there is said to be a "strict ban" on any mention of Meghan and Harry during this program.
