The Duchess of Sussex was previously married to film producer Trevor
Engelson for a brief two-year period before surprising him with divorce
proceedings citing "irreconcilable differences" in 2013.
According to claims made by royal author Neil Sean in Ok! Magazine, Engelson
has received numerous offers and lucrative deals to provide an insider's
perspective on his marriage to the former Suits actress.
"Many agents have approached him with substantial deals and significant
financial incentives, especially when Meghan was at the height of her fame. I
believe he will carefully consider all options," Sean stated.
As a result, Sean suggests that Meghan may be feeling quite apprehensive about
the situation, as Engelson appears open to exploring these opportunities. He
commented, "He would indeed have an extraordinary story to tell, given that he
had first-hand experience of being married to the actress the first time
around."
"I've had a brief encounter with him, and he struck me as a kind and compassionate man who has evidently moved on. However, there's no escaping his own story," Sean continued.
The royal author also speculated on the potential focus of Engelson's prospective book, suggesting, "His story could provide an insider's look into how relentless, ambitious, and determined she was."
"If he delves into the details of why he was left and the circumstances surrounding it, it could potentially be explosive. Meghan is known for not maintaining connections with people from her past, and Trevor's story thus far remains a significant mystery," Sean added.
