In a candid interview on the UK daytime show "This Morning," Caitlyn
Jenner opened up about her complex and emotional relationship with her former
spouse, Kris Jenner.
The 73-year-old former Olympic athlete, who shared 22 years of marriage with
the 67-year-old matriarch of the Kardashian family, made intriguing
revelations as she discussed her upcoming three-part tell-all series, "House
Of Kardashian."
Caitlyn and Kris also share the bond of parenthood, having two children
together, Kendall, 27, and Kylie, 26. However, Caitlyn admitted that their
journey as a couple had its fair share of challenges, and she described it as
"really sad."
Reflecting on their initial encounter, Caitlyn took a trip down memory lane to
a time when she was known as Bruce. She shared, "I had been single for six
years, struggling with self-discovery and my place in the world. I was just
about to turn 40 when I met Kris on a blind date, and from day one, we
connected deeply. Love at first sight? It was pretty close to that, yes."
Their whirlwind romance led to a swift marriage, with Caitlyn revealing, "We
got married five and a half months later. It all happened very quickly."
However, as for their present relationship, Caitlyn acknowledged the distance
that had grown between them. She said, "Well, Kris and I don't really talk
anymore. It's quite sad. Any communication that happens now is usually through
my manager.
With the number of children I have, I'm naturally closer to some than others.
I do see them, and we have our interactions, but I have a stronger connection
with the Jenner side of the family. Kris and I have drifted apart, and it's
unfortunate because we shared so much in our journey together."
Caitlyn's candid revelations shed light on the complexities of relationships,
the passage of time, and the ways in which life's twists and turns can impact
even the closest bonds.
