Pinkett Smith when announcing the separation of the Sussexes. Jada Pinkett Smith
has recently stepped into the spotlight to promote her memoir, provocatively
titled "Worthy."
In a candid interview with NBC's Hoda Kotb, Jada delved into her own truth,
addressing various aspects of her life and marriage. She disclosed that her
marriage to Will Smith had essentially been over since 2016, even though they
continued to present a united front by attending events together and not
formally divorcing.
Jada explained that they hadn't divorced because they were still figuring out
how to navigate their partnership and present it to the public. This approach
appears to be similar to Meghan Markle's strategy in her relationship with
Prince Harry. They seem to be getting personal and sharing inside information
to influence what appears in the media.
While Prince Harry has been quite transparent about this in his book and
during interviews promoting it, Meghan Markle hasn't been as direct. However,
it's evident to many observers. Some speculate that Will Smith remains with
Jada due to concerns of potential blackmail if he were to pursue a divorce.
Jada's stance of being in it "forever" despite separation might be driven by a
promise of marriage, much like Meghan's approach with Harry.
There are even rumors that Meghan Markle aims to forge a friendship with Jada
Pinkett Smith, as she has reportedly reached out to Jada on numerous
occasions. However, Meghan may not fare well on Jada's show, "Red Table Talk,"
which features unscripted discussions, and Jada does not conceal her annoyance
easily. Meghan's intentions may be more about being seen hugging celebrities,
particularly those of color, in a way that bestows favors.
However, true friendship doesn't seem to be the primary goal. Jada likely sees
Meghan as of little use to her, especially considering Meghan's business
relationship with Oprah and her relatively casual acquaintance with Serena
Williams, both of which have been leveraged for publicity.
Meghan's significance primarily lies in her association with Prince Harry, as
her own career prospects are limited. Even if she were to divorce and write a
book, any interest and profit from it would likely be short-lived. Meghan
lacks a substantial career to revive, and her influence is largely dependent
on her role as Harry's wife, which holds more value for her than a potential
