Meghan Markle's future career aspirations are generating significant
speculation, with suggestions that the Duchess of Sussex might consider a shift
into the realm of politics.
According to a political insider, who is well-acquainted with California
Governor Gavin Newsom and has been a notable donor to the Democratic Party,
there is an open position created by the departure of Dianne Feinstein.
The insider hinted that Meghan Markle, while viewed as a long shot, could be a
contender for the position, given the unpredictability of U.S. politics in
recent times. They stated, "Meghan is certainly a bit of a long shot, but in
the current tumultuous landscape of U.S. politics, nothing is impossible.
Stranger things have happened."
However, there are reports indicating that if the former "Suits" actress were
to pursue this seat, she might find herself in competition with her friend and
talk show host, Oprah Winfrey.
Oprah Winfrey has been questioned about her interest in politics in the past, though she has not provided any confirmation. This leaves open the possibility that the two influential women could potentially face off in a bid for a Senate position.
