Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, during their recent trip to New York City, reportedly faced a lukewarm reception, leaving them disheartened by the lack of attention at the event.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, representing the Archewell Foundation at the Project Healthy Minds event in Hudson Yards on Tuesday, seemingly struggled to capture the hearts of New Yorkers with their presence.

A source close to the couple expressed, "Meghan and Harry are disappointed as they did not manage to garner significant attention during their recent visit to New York."

Upon their arrival and departure in the Hudson Yards area, there was notably no crowd, and when locals were asked about their feelings regarding the royal couple's presence, many responded with indifference.

Karla Mendez, a 22-year-old from the Bronx, candidly remarked to Express US, "I mean, it's cool if I get to see them, but I had no idea they were in town."

Despite several black SUVs parked outside the venue, most tourists and locals appeared unfazed by the royals' visit.

Notably, Meghan and Harry had visited New York in May for the Ms. Foundation's 50th-anniversary gala, during which their spokesperson cited a "near-catastrophic car chase" involving paparazzi.

This time, the security around the couple was more robust, and they managed to enter and exit the venue with minimal notice. However, one dedicated royal fan ensured her presence at the event.
