Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's Christmas Plans Pose a Challenge for King Charles

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's intended Christmas plans are causing quite a stir, and it appears that King Charles and the royal family might be in for a less-than-jolly holiday season, as per the insights of royal expert and historian Tessa Dunlop.

Dunlop points out that the couple, currently residing in the United States, seems inclined to skip a visit to the UK this year. "With Christmas approaching, there's an expectation for Meghan and Harry to bring a touch of transatlantic influence to the Windsor family," noted the expert.

However, Dunlop is quick to caution against high hopes, given Harry's recent absence from Balmoral this summer. It appears unlikely that he will make an appearance at Sandringham for the holidays, as per Dunlop's insights shared with the Mirror.

The royal expert goes even further, explaining that it's not just Harry who might be missing from the festivities. She states, "There's little indication that King Charles will have the opportunity to share a Christmas moment with his absent grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet."

Meghan and Harry's housing situation in the UK is also a point of interest. Following the 74-year-old monarch's decision to vacate them from their former royal residence, Frogmore Cottage, the couple finds themselves without an official place to stay in Britain.

Dunlop speculates that Meghan and Harry might embark on the journey of acquiring their own residence, driven by Harry's longing for his homeland. She observes, "Meghan is comfortably settled in California, surrounded by her celebrity friends, a new agent, and forthcoming endeavors as an influencer. Harry, on the other hand, often appears adrift."

Continuing her assessment, Dunlop surmises, "While Harry may yearn for a place of his own in London, considering it's his hometown, it doesn't seem practical for the security-conscious Sussexes to invest in a private property when they could potentially stay with their cousins on the Windsor estate or in one of London's operational palaces where security is readily available."
