Prince William became increasingly concerned about his younger brother,
Prince Harry, believing he was being 'brainwashed' due to a noticeable change in
his behavior. Prince Harry shared this insight in his memoir, "Spare," revealing
that his emotional state had raised alarms for Prince William regarding his
wellbeing.
After Prince William noticed his brother's struggles, he reached out to him
via text while on tour in Pakistan. Prince Harry acknowledged Prince William's
concern but assured him that he was seeking therapy to address his issues.
Prince Harry wrote about their exchange: "Soon after, I got a text from Willy.
He was in Pakistan on tour. He said I was clearly struggling, and he was
worried about me. I thanked him for his concern, assured him I was fine. I'd
become emotional in front of a roomful of sick kids and their folks just after
becoming a father myself—nothing abnormal in that."
Despite Prince Harry's reassurances, Prince William remained convinced that
his brother needed help and even suggested accompanying him to a therapy
session. However, this offer was never taken up, and Prince William did not
attend any therapy sessions with Prince Harry.
The exchange between the brothers highlights their complex relationship during a challenging period in Prince Harry's life, with Prince William expressing concern for his well-being but not ultimately participating in the therapy process.
