Aaron Korsh, revealed that the royal family had certain restrictions on her
character's dialogue. Specifically, they discouraged the use of the word
"poppycock," which means nonsense.
Korsh had planned to incorporate this word into Meghan's lines during a scene
with her co-star Patrick J. Adams. It was intended as a nod to his in-laws.
However, the royal family expressed concerns about the word and its potential
for misinterpretation when edited, prompting a change in the script.
Korsh mentioned that the decision to avoid using "poppycock" did not come directly from Meghan, but rather, it was a request made to him or his team, possibly by her agent or someone else involved in the production. He sympathized with the palace's concerns about possible misinterpretation and the potential for edited content.
It's worth noting that Meghan played the character Rachel Zane in "Suits" from
2011 to 2018, and her engagement to Prince Harry was announced in November
2017. After their engagement, it was revealed that she would no longer pursue
acting.
