Why 'Spare' - Prince Harry's Memoir - Fails to Impress 'The Crown' Creator

In a recent interview with Variety, Peter Morgan, the mastermind behind the Emmy-winning Netflix series that delves into the lives of the royal family, confessed that he has not perused a single word of Prince Harry's memoir, "Spare."

Morgan explained, "I haven't delved into it, not because I lack interest. I do have a lot of sympathy for him, but I wanted to avoid his narrative influencing my creative process. I didn't want his voice to dominate my thoughts, even though I'm intrigued."

"The Crown" has chronicled the royal family's journey, beginning from the early days of Queen Elizabeth II's reign. Notably, recent seasons have featured dramatizations of Princess Diana and Prince Charles, portrayed by Elizabeth Debicki and Dominic West, respectively.

The upcoming sixth and final season, scheduled for a November premiere, will center on Harry and his brother, Prince William.

Morgan clarified that he refrained from reading the controversial biography penned by Prince Harry, despite the prince's presence in the show.

Prince Harry's memoir has caused a stir with its revelations, including claims that Meghan Markle informed Kate Middleton about her "baby brain" and descriptions of physical altercations with his brother.

While Prince Harry has previously acknowledged watching "The Crown" and verifying its historical accuracy, Morgan indicated that the two haven't engaged in discussions about the show.

Morgan stated, "I haven't heard his perspective directly from him, and we've never had a conversation about it."
