The monarch hosted an event to honor the UK's international nursing and midwifery workforce after celebrating his 75th birthday. However, body language expert Judi James, as reported by The Mirror, observed "clear signs of inner anxiety" in King Charles during the occasion.
James acknowledged that while the monarch replicated certain confident poses of his father, Prince Philip, there was an underlying sense of unease.
The alleged phone call between Prince Harry and King Charles, made to mark the King's birthday, reportedly caused a "notable shift" in their strained relationship, as per the UK's Daily Telegraph. However, palace insiders expressed displeasure to Page Six, labeling Harry and Meghan as "total hypocrites" for leaking details of the call to the press.
The Telegraph also reported that Prince Archie, four, and Princess Lilibet, two, sent recorded messages to their grandfather as part of the birthday wishes.
Despite the reported tension, Judi James suggested that King Charles's anxious demeanor may be rooted in his longstanding signature gestures rather than any new developments in their relationship or recent claims in Omid Scobie's new book. The body language expert noted that these gestures have been part of the monarch's life for many years.
