Recent reports suggest a potential turning point in the relationship between Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and King Charles, as sources indicate the couple may consider an invitation to spend Christmas at Sandringham with the Royal Family.
King Charles expressed his desire earlier to "spend more time with his grandchildren," marking a new challenge for Harry and Meghan. The Duke of Sussex, currently residing in California with Meghan and their children, Archie (4) and Lilibet (2), reportedly had a phone call with King Charles on his 75th birthday, a conversation seen as pivotal in their strained relationship.
Sources told The Times that this dialogue could be a positive development. There are suggestions that the Sussexes would be open to spending both Christmas at Sandringham and summer at Balmoral, Scotland, if invited.
"I can't imagine the Sussexes would decline an invitation to spend time with His Majesty," a source stated, although no holiday invitations have been extended yet.
This potential thaw in relations follows King Charles' expressed desire to spend more time with his grandchildren, and another phone call between the King and his son is reportedly scheduled for the upcoming week. The last time Prince Harry and Meghan Markle spent Christmas at Sandringham was in 2018.
