Kate Middleton's 'The Crown' Portrayer Lands Major Deal, Leaving Meghan Markle Disappointed

The ongoing rivalry between Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton has taken an unexpected turn, with reports revealing that the actress portraying Princess Kate in the Netflix series, The Crown, has secured a lucrative deal with one of Meghan's favorite luxury brands.

Meg Bellamy, the 21-year-old Berkshire-based actress who embodies Princess Kate in the fictional drama, has been announced as the new face of Dior—an opportunity Meghan Markle was reportedly aiming to clinch.

Despite the sixth and final series of The Crown not yet being released, Bellamy is already gaining star power, landing deals with renowned fashion brands like Valentino and Cartier. She has previously collaborated with labels such as Prada and Gucci.

An insider from Netflix revealed to Daily Mail, "They have been queuing up for Meg; she is playing the most famous woman in the world in a globally famous television drama, so many labels and brands want some of that."

This development comes amidst claims that Meghan Markle was looking to secure a deal with Dior as part of her comeback plans. However, a spokesperson for the luxury brand refuted these reports, stating to Women’s Wear Daily, "There have been no contract negotiations or recent contact with Markle."
