King Charles' Godson Loses £42,000 Worth of Designer Watches in Robbery

Hugh Grosvenor, King Charles' godson, fell victim to a robbery at his country estate, resulting in the loss of £42,000 worth of designer watches. The theft occurred after decorators were hired for his Cheshire-based mansion.

Reportedly stolen were significant timepieces, including the Duke of Westminster’s Cartier London Tank JC wristwatch, valued at approximately £32,000. Other stolen items from Grosvenor's bedroom included a Panerai Luminor Marina watch and a Breitling, each estimated to be worth at least £6,000.

Two men have been arrested and charged with burglary offences in connection to the incident. The prosecution emphasized the seriousness of the case, stating, "The Crown say this is not suitable to be dealt with in this court. The charge is a domestic burglary.

The value of goods from the burglary is £42,000, a significant amount." The minimum sentencing for such offenses is expected to be at least a year in custody, prompting a recommendation to send the case to the crown court.
