King Charles Receives Counsel to Subject Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to a 'One-Year Trial'

In the pursuit of a potential reconciliation with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, King Charles has been advised to institute a 'trial period' by royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams. This period would serve to determine the sincerity of the couple's commitment to the Firm and the well-being of the royal family.

Fitzwilliams, speaking to Express, suggested that the monarch should offer the Sussexes an opportunity for redemption, contingent on the condition that they demonstrate loyalty to the institution. The proposal entails allowing Prince Harry and Meghan at least a year to establish themselves and showcase their dedication.

"The King has always been clear that the door is open to Harry and Meghan. At present, there is something of a circus about royal events," Fitzwilliams remarked. He continued, "Given the Sussexes' behavior until relatively recently, might it not be wise to wait a year before inviting them? Whatever the good intentions after the telephone call with Harry on Charles's birthday might be, the Sussexes have regretted trashlessly the royal family for years."

Highlighting the impact of the couple's actions on their popularity in the United States, Fitzwilliams emphasized, "If they want to be accepted back, they should surely, over the coming months, show some loyalty to the institution."

The recommendation highlights the importance of a thoughtful and cautious approach in the potential reintegration of Prince Harry and Meghan into the royal fold.
