As the Royal Christmas guest list for Sandringham House unfolds, it's
notable that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have not secured an invite. The
decision by Charles to exclude his youngest son from the festivities remains
unclear, especially considering the perceived thaw in the rift following a
recent phone call between the father and son.
However, it appears that Prince William and Princess Kate's continued distance
from the former royals could be a significant factor. A source close to the
future King, speaking to the Daily Beast, labeled the parents of Prince Archie
as "narcissists" and "delusional" for expecting an invitation in the first
place.
The source emphasized, "There is no way William or Kate would want them there
after what he wrote in his book. Would you want to sit down for a slap-up
lunch with someone who had basically called you an a***** * in public? It
would be a total humiliation."
Asserting that William and Kate would never agree to such a scenario, the
source added, "Charles wouldn't ask them to."
In an article for ITV.com, veteran royal correspondent Chris Ship revealed
that, in addition to the immediate members of the Royal Family, two children
and five grandchildren of Queen Camilla have also been invited to take part in
the regal festivities.
To add to the dynamics, Prince Andrew, no longer a working royal, is set to be
hosted at Prince Philip's home on the property. Ship noted that the Christmas
lunch would deviate from tradition, now being "served in the larger ballroom
of Sandringham House rather than the dining room."
The unfolding dynamics underscore the complexities within the royal family,
with tensions and rifts playing a role in shaping the holiday festivities at
Sandringham House this year.
