King Charles is reportedly considering extending an olive branch to Prince
Harry and Meghan Markle, not for Christmas but for New Year celebrations in
Scotland.
Amid reports of improved ties, a source informed the Mail that the monarch is contemplating hosting the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in Scotland for the New Year, stating, "It would certainly have the advantage of killing two birds with one stone; extending an olive branch to one son without causing difficulty to the other."
Other sources indicated that Christmas plans are typically confirmed by now,
making it surprising for the Sussexes not to have received an invitation for
the festive season. New Year in Scotland is seen as a more likely scenario.
"As with anything related to Harry and Meghan, let's face it, anything can happen," the sources added.
This development follows a reported friendly phone call between the Sussexes and the monarch on his birthday, ending months of silence between the couple and the Firm.
