In an effort to enhance their public standing, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are reportedly considering reconciling with King Charles and the rest of the royal family.
The Duchess of Sussex may utilize her network of friends and other trusted sources to explore the possibility of brokering a peace deal with the monarch amid the ongoing rift and crises within the royal family, as suggested by a PR expert.
Although reconciling with the King could potentially boost Meghan and Harry's popularity, the royal expert notes that they are unlikely to directly approach the family to discuss a peace deal.
Reports indicate that the US-based couple has struggled to win favor among Americans and Britons with their repeated narratives about the royal family.
According to PR expert Liv Arnold, "Meghan and Harry's popularity will see an improvement if they can make peace with the monarchy, demonstrating a departure from constant conflict. However, from a PR standpoint, they may prefer to communicate their desire for reconciliation through third parties. This way, if the King is unresponsive, they can save face by claiming they never sought such a resolution. Given the King's array of advisors, this indirect approach may be more strategic."
Arnold adds, "Due to pride and the public fallout, Meghan and Harry are unlikely to extend a personal olive branch."
Meghan, who had previously enlisted the help of close friends to share details about her challenging relationship with her father, may once again turn to her inner circle to discreetly gauge the King's receptivity.
Amidst the potential reconciliation efforts, reports suggest that Harry and Meghan are in disagreement over holiday plans. While Harry wishes to spend Christmas with his royal relatives, Meghan has different plans for this year's festivities.
In a poignant development, Prince Harry is reportedly heartbroken over the recent snub from his father, King Charles, and the royal family, as he was not invited to join them in celebrating the monarch's birthday.
