Meghan Markle is confronting a pivotal moment as reports suggest she was
actively seeking to have a case dismissed. The stakes are high as her sister,
Samantha Markle's attorney, expresses confidence ahead of a crucial hearing that
will determine the veracity of Meghan's previous comments about her
half-sibling.
In a statement to Newsweek, lawyer Peter Ticktin shed light on Samantha's
pursuit of ella to demonstrate that Meghan's remarks by ella had a detrimental
impact on the sales of her book by ella, "The Diary of Princess Pushy's Sister
Part 1."
Ticktin emphasized that the judge might lean towards Samantha, given evidence
proving Meghan's past claims of not having a sibling were untrue. "I feel
confident. Once I explained how and why Meghan did what she did, to discourage
readers from reading Samantha's book titled 'Princess Pushy,' the whole case
made more sense."
Expressing optimism about the judicial process, Ticktin added, "No matter
which way Judge Honeywell decides, I am confident that she is being fair and
thoughtful. I love it when I am before bright and fair judges."
This development follows the November 8 hearing, during which attorneys from
both sides presented their arguments, while Meghan, known for her role in
"Suits," applied to have the case dismissed.
During an interview with Oprah, Meghan had stated, "I grew up as an only
child," emphasizing her desire for siblings. However, her lawyers argued that
these words were a reflection on her childhood and not a denial of Samantha as
her half-sister. The legal battle now hinges on the judge's decision, with the
outcome carrying significant implications for both parties involved.
